Water-swelling rubber water stop belt is a rubber water stop product made from imported special rubber as the main raw material, combined with inorganic water-absorbing materials, high-viscosity resins, and more than a dozen other special materials through intensive mixing, blending, and extrusion.

　　Product Features

The water-swelling water stop belt gradually expands upon contact with water, eventually slowly blocking the capillary pores present, making the contact interface with the concrete more compact, thus generating a larger water pressure resistance and forming an impermeable plastic colloid. This product features a high expansion ratio and strong mobility compensation performance. When placed in construction joints after pouring, it has a strong self-healing function, capable of sealing new small gaps caused by settlement. For completed projects, if there are leaks in the gaps, water stop strips can be used to reseal, with low construction costs and simple construction processes, and excellent corrosion resistance. The volume expansion rate (%) of the water-swelling rubber water stop belt in static distilled water can be automatically adjusted, categorized into: ≥150%, ≥220%, ≥300%, etc.

　　Product Applications

This product is suitable for the water stop function of concrete construction joints and post-pouring joints. It is also applicable for assembly joints of building components, joint filling, shield tunneling segment joints, and waterproofing projects for wall and plate joints, widely used in various underground construction projects and hydraulic engineering such as water storage tanks, sedimentation tanks, underground garages, basements, subways, dams, tunnels, culverts, and flood control embankments.

The water-swelling water stop belt is the most ideal new material for preventing and controlling leakage and flooding in civil engineering structures. When this rubber is immersed in water, the hydrophilic genes react with water to form hydrogen bonds, causing it to expand and fill the gaps, making it widely and easily usable in construction areas that could not be solved by other methods in the past. Once in contact with the immersed water, its volume rapidly expands to achieve complete water stopping.
